Inspiration for my stories and books comes from the most unexpected places. Whilst driving past Rouen on the motorway in France I was inspired by the legend of Joan of Arc to write The Maid of Orleans… It was sitting in the cool wine caves of the village of Puligny Montrachet that the story of Le Vigneron, which then became the novel, Elodie, began to take shape.
